On Thursday, Oct. 30th, 2025, the Millbrook Public Library had its weekly story hour. This week, children dressed up in their Halloween costumes for the story hour and trick-or-treated around the library.
The children’s librarian, Angela Dewberry, read four Halloween books to the children during the story hour. The families enjoyed coloring trick-or-treat bags, coloring sheets, and cutouts to take home. Dewberry also read a popular book that the children love listening to each week in October, called 𝐼𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐷𝑎𝑟𝑘, 𝐷𝑎𝑟𝑘 𝑊𝑜𝑜𝑑 by David A. Carter.
“I love the holidays, and I look forward to this event each year. I love reading holiday stories, passing out crafts, and seeing the children trick-or-treating around the library. It is fun for me, fun for everyone, and I can share my favorite scary story for October. It scares the tuna salad out of one and all,” said Dewberry.
