City of Prattville

The City of Prattville is proud to announce its official designation as a member of the Innovate Alabama Network, a statewide initiative dedicated to advancing entrepreneurship, technology, and economic growth across Alabama.

As part of this designation, the city will receive a $45,455 grant to help launch its first small business incubator at 124 West Main Street. The incubator will accommodate up to 15 businesses, with a focus on service- and technology-based platforms, providing a collaborative environment that fosters innovation and growth.

This designation recognizes Prattville’s ongoing commitment to support entrepreneurship, talent development, and industry-aligned economic growth through innovative business support, workforce initiatives, and strategic industrial recruitment. “Being selected as part of the Innovate Alabama Network is an exciting milestone for Prattville,” said Mayor Bill Gillespie, Jr. “This designation reflects our dedication to forward-thinking growth and positions our community to better support entrepreneurs and emerging industries. We look forward to leveraging this partnership to create new opportunities for our citizens and local businesses.”

The Innovate Alabama Network serves as a comprehensive resource that connects communities, nonprofits, and higher education institutions actively fostering innovation in Alabama. With this designation, the City is now eligible to apply for additional funding to further support small business formation, talent retention, and applied industry growth throughout Autauga County.
