Prattville softball’s Addison Lee had a big junior season for the Lions, as they won 25 games in 2026 after winning just 11 games the year before. Lee had a .321 batting average and 34 hits, 7 of which were home runs. She added 29 RBIs and drew 19 walks. Heading into her senior season, Lee has committed to playing college softball at Faulkner University.

“The reason I committed to Faulkner is because it feels like home,” said Lee. “I’ve been on a few other college visits, and they just didn’t feel like it was the right fit. People always tell me, ‘when you pick the right college it will feel like home, and you won’t have a doubt about it.’ Well I can truly say there was no doubt about Faulkner being my choice. Through all of the late nights, car rides, and hard work put into making my dream happen, there was never a doubt that Faulkner was going to be my home for the next four years after my senior year at Prattville. I believe God is gracious with what He provides for His children, and I also believe staying faithful to him and shining on the field for Hm is a big factor in making dreams come true. When you give it to God every time, you’re on the field, big things will happen. There was a lot of praying about this decision and I feel that God had my heart set on Faulkner the day I went on my visit.”

Lee visited Faulkner in December 2025, and the school immediately made a big impact on her.

“From the moment I stepped on campus, I knew it was somewhere special. Everyone I met was incredibly welcoming, and I immediately fell in love with both the people and the campus environment. Faulkner completely checks off every single box for me, both on and off the field, and I couldn’t be more excited about what the future holds,” said Lee.

Lee excels in the classroom as much as on the softball field. She is an honors student, involved in the Future Teacher of Alabama Club, and posts a 3.97 GPA. She was also the Student of the Year for ACTC Early Childhood Education.

Following college, Lee hopes to be a teacher. She plans to major in elementary education at Faulkner.

“When people ask why I want to be a teacher, my answer is simple: teaching is not just a career choice, it is truly a calling – and it is a calling I felt deeply from a young age. Over the past few years, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to shadow teachers in the younger grades, and those experiences have only solidified my passion. I am so thankful for those classrooms because they showed me the real impact an educator can have. My ultimate plan after college is to become an educator who doesn’t just teach curriculum, but who pours time, energy, and effortless love into helping every single child recognize their true worth,” said Lee.
