Engines revved and families gathered under clear spring skies Saturday as the Autauga County Sheriff’s Office hosted its first annual car show, a free event designed to bring the community together while showcasing classic and custom vehicles.

Dozens of vehicles lined the school grounds, their chrome details gleaming in the sunlight. Organizers awarded 50 trophies throughout the day, recognizing standout entries across a variety of categories.

Beyond the cars, the event had the feel of a community festival. Food vendors served up local favorites while children bounced in inflatable houses set up nearby. Younger attendees also played a role in judging, casting votes for their favorite vehicles, a feature that kept families engaged and added a personal touch to the competition.

The show was organized with support from the Autauga County Sheriff’s Foundation, a non-profit that helps fund equipment purchases for deputies and supports community initiatives throughout the county. Proceeds from the event will go toward those efforts.

Organizers said they hope the strong turnout and positive response will help establish the car show as an annual tradition, one that continues to bring residents and law enforcement together in a setting focused on connection, conversation and community pride.
