Autaugaville Christian Academy
Autaugaville Christian Academy is preparing to open its doors this fall, bringing a new K–6 private Christian school option to families in Autaugaville and surrounding communities. Located at 2708 Dutch Bend Street, the school sits in the heart of Autaugaville and is designed to serve as both a place of learning and a renewed cornerstone for the community.
Autaugaville Christian Academy is committed to providing a Christ-centered education that strengthens families and prepares students for lifelong success. By blending strong academics with Biblical teaching and purposeful discipleship, the school will help students reach their full, God-given potential. Christian faith will be woven into every part of the school day through prayer, Scripture, and intentional instruction, connecting God’s Word to math, reading, science, and history. Teachers will emphasize values including honesty, responsibility, perseverance, respect, and integrity, helping students grow both academically and spiritually.
As enrollment begins, school leaders are encouraging families to take advantage of the Alabama CHOOSE Act, which provides up to $7,000 in free tuition assistance to eligible families. The CHOOSE Act is a state program that helps parents use public education funds to pay for approved educational expenses, including private school tuition. For many families, this means their child can attend Autaugaville Christian Academy at little to no cost.
Many parents hear the word “private school” and assume it means “unaffordable.” School leaders want families to know that through the CHOOSE Act, Christian education can be accessible and within reach for households across the community.
The CHOOSE Act application window closes on March 31, and once it closes, families will no longer be able to access this funding for the upcoming school year. After that date, tuition becomes the responsibility of the parent. For this reason, families are encouraged to apply by mid-March to avoid delays or complications.
To help parents complete applications correctly, Autaugaville Christian Academy is hosting assisted sign-up events where staff guide families through the process. The next event will be held on February 28 at the school campus, in conjunction with a community clean-up day.
School leaders encourage families not to apply alone, as small errors can impact approval. “We know life gets busy,” they shared, “but we don’t want parents to miss this opportunity. This funding can open doors for families who may not have thought private Christian school was possible.”
Autaugaville Christian Academy is committed to helping families throughout the enrollment process and welcomes questions from parents and guardians. School staff are available to answer questions, provide guidance, and help families feel confident in their next steps.
