Stanhope Elmore High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter is joining thousands of members nationwide in celebrating National FBLA Week, Feb. 8–14, 2026, which coincides with National Career and Technical Education Month.
As part of the observance, SEHS FBLA students attended this week’s Elmore County Commission meeting, where they delivered a presentation emphasizing the impact of career and technical education (CTE) on student success, workforce readiness, and the local economy.
“CTE really helps students ease into the workforce or into college after high school, so that their lives are a lot easier and more organized,” said Dylan Chavez, president of SEHS FBLA.
National FBLA Week also highlights the connections the organization fosters among students and its role in preparing members to become community-minded business leaders.
“The goal of CTE and FBLA is to provide each student with career-ready knowledge and experiences for the business world,” said Lindsey Tran, vice president of SEHS FBLA. “This can be achieved by teaching students how to properly dress in business attire and allowing them to compete in their specific career fields through different organizations.”
Throughout the week, SEHS FBLA members will participate in National FBLA Week activities, including online panel discussions, informational interviews with FBLA partners, and additional leadership development opportunities.
