Autauga County Schools proudly announces that Dr. Antjuan Marsh, the district’s Director of Secondary Curriculum, has been elected to serve as a Director for the Alabama Association of Secondary School Principals (AASSP), a division of the Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools (CLAS).

As a CLAS AASSP Director, Dr. Marsh will represent secondary school administrators from across the state, providing leadership and guidance in advancing educational excellence and supporting professional growth among Alabama’s school leaders. In this role, Dr. Marsh will help shape initiatives that strengthen school leadership, influence statewide education policy, and promote student success at all levels.

“We are fortunate to have leaders like Dr. Marsh who model integrity, innovation, and a deep commitment to student success,” said Lyman Woodfin, Superintendent. “His leadership now extends far beyond our schools, allowing him to share his expertise and advocate for administrators and students throughout Alabama.”

Dr. Marsh has served in public education for more than 25 years, having worked primarily in Jefferson County and for a few years in Montgomery County before taking the role of Secondary Director of Curriculum in Autauga County in July 2024. His commitment to empowering teachers and students alike reflects the values and mission of both Autauga County Schools and CLAS.

“I am honored to serve as an AASSP Director,” said Dr. Marsh. “This opportunity allows me to collaborate with dedicated leaders across Alabama as we continue to strengthen educational leadership and learning opportunities for all students.”

Founded in 1969, the Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools is the premier umbrella organization for Alabama’s school administrators, representing 13 affiliate associations and providing professional development, advocacy, and support for educational leaders statewide. The AASSP specifically supports the needs and professional growth of secondary school principals and assistant principals.
