The Central Alabama Community Foundation (CACF) distributes its 2025 Cultural and Community Enhancement Grant awards, Oct. 6, 2025, during a ceremony at the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce.

CACF is a nonprofit philanthropic organization that connects individuals and businesses with opportunities to make lasting contributions, through gifts and bequests of any size, for the betterment of our community.

“We don’t really do anything,” said Burton Crenshaw, President of CACF. “It’s our donors who help assist these organizations in everything they do and who serve the needs of everybody in our community.”

The Autauga Area Community Foundation (AACF) and Elmore County Community Foundation (ECCF) also awarded various shelter and social services grants during the ceremony to organizations, including:

Habitat for Humanity for Autauga and Chilton Counties

Quiet Storm Outreach Group LLC

Family Sunshine Center

Butterfly Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center

Alabama Kidney Foundation

Sight Savers America

W.E.L.C.O.M.E. Inc.

The grand total awarded for the 2025 grant cycle was $144,862, with $17,000 from AACF and $14,500 from ECCF.

Through grants like these, CACF and its regional affiliates continue to strengthen the foundation of communities—supporting programs that inspire, protect, and uplift residents across the region.
