River Region Pregnancy Center is gearing up to host their sixth annual Walk for Life fundraising event for the community. This event brings local supporters together to raise awareness and funds to support River Region Pregnancy Center right here in the heart of Prattville.
This faith-based organization provides free services that include pregnancy testing, limited OB ultrasounds, parenting education, baby supplies, father support and more. They provide care and services that are rooted in Christ.
One client review stated, “They were interested in caring for me and not just my baby.” River Region Pregnancy Center is focused on caring for the family to make sure that they are getting the support that they need for everyone involved.
The Prattville community, as well as the River Region, is encouraged to join the effort and mission of helping those in need and their partners who need help and support with an unplanned pregnancy. If you or a friend enjoys walking and making a difference, River Region Pregnancy Center would love your participation in signing up and walking for a purpose.
Walkers who participate will be tasked with raising funds by inviting others to sponsor their walk. Each walker or team will have their own individual goal that it will strive to achieve.
Walkers can sign up individually or will have the option of registering as a team to combine their efforts and funds to support River Region Pregnancy Center. The overall financial goal of $50,000 is this year’s hopeful goal. The deadline to meet this financial goal is the day of the walk, September 20th.
The Walk for Life event will not only incorporate the annual fundraiser walk but will also provide other fun activities for families to enjoy. There will be food trucks, a live worship band, inflatables, a petting zoo, and more.
The walk, as well as the activities, will take place at the 3rd Street Parking Lot across from First Baptist Church in downtown Prattville on Saturday, September 20th. Check-in is scheduled for 8:00 am, and the walk will take place at 8:30 am. The walk will be approximately 1.5 miles through downtown Prattville.
