Millbrook first responders were at Brownswood Circle a short time ago after a vehicle has apparently hit a home.

No injuries are reported at this time. The accident occurred in the 5000 block of the roadway.

According to Police Chief P.K. Johnson, the original call came in at 7:52 p.m. with the caller stating a driver had struck a fire hydrant, then careened into a home. The homeowner was in the residence at the time of the crash.

The house is structurally sound, but does have moderate damage, officials say.

The driver was not arrested, and did not seem impaired, Johnson said.

“An elderly gentleman who is scheduled for a medical procedure tomorrow and has not been consuming any food in preparation, was driving. He apparently blacked out, lost control and collided with the fire hydrant and then the house. He was tended to by medics at the scene but was not transported to the hospital. Unfortunately, the homeowner sustained damage, but we are lucky no one was seriously injured.”
