The City of Prattville announced the opening of a public input form for the naming of 124 West Main Street and its adjacent venue on March 3, 2026, during the Prattville City Council’s regular meeting.
City officials said the form will be posted on the city’s website, with notification of its opening shared on the city’s social media pages. The form will be available to Prattville residents, starting at 8 a.m. on March 5th and closing at 5 p.m. on March 9th.
“This is not an opportunity to vote for a name but rather, as the ordinance stated, it’s an opportunity for public input,” said Council President Michael Whaley.
Whaley explained that the forms will be reviewed by the council to ensure each submission complies with the city’s new naming ordinance and was submitted by a Prattville resident. He also said the council plans to hold a work session to discuss the potential names.
“Hopefully, at the end of that work session, we will leave there with a resolution to bring before the council for a permanent name for the venue,” said Whaley.
