Elmore County launches REAACT property notification system

From: Elmore County Commission

Wetumpka, Alabama

The Elmore County Probate Office is pleased to announce the launch of REAACT (Real Estate Activity Alert and Contact Tool), a new propertymonitoring and notification system available free of charge to the public. The system will officially go live on March 4, 2026.

The system was implemented through the Elmore County Probate Office in partnership with Ingenuity, Inc., the provider of the County’s land records management software. REAACTprovides near real-time email notifications when a deed, mortgage, or other designated land record is recorded that matches a registered user’s name.

Judge Jason Britt stated, “Our office is committed to providing services that help citizens stay informed about matters affecting their property. REAACT is designed to give property ownerstimely notice of recorded documents so they can take appropriate steps if necessary.”

With increasing concerns nationwide regarding property and mortgage fraud, the REAACT system offers residents an additional layer of awareness by notifying them of filings that may affect their property interests.

How REAACT Works

After registering through the Probate Office’s online records website, users will receive email notifications whenever a recorded document contains the name(s) they have entered into the system. There is no need to search by property address or document type — the system monitors designated categories of newly recorded land records, as determined by the Probate Office, for matching names.

Key Features

Near Real-Time Alerts – Receive prompt email notifications when a land record is recorded under your registered name.

Comprehensive Monitoring – No need to identify specific properties or document types.

Simple Registration – Easy online sign-up through the Probate Office website.

Secure & Confidential – User information is encrypted and protected under industry- standard security protocols.

Free to the Public – Available to all Elmore County citizens at no cost.Important Notice

REAACT is a notification system only. It does not prevent documents from being recorded, block fraudulent filings, or take corrective action on behalf of property owners. If a user receives an alert regarding a filing they believe to be unauthorized or fraudulent, they should promptly review their real estate records and consult legal counsel or law enforcement as appropriate. Early awareness allows property owners to respond more quickly if issues arise.
