Brian Pittman, a Prattville High School teacher and former girls’ flag football coach, was arrested, March 12, 2026, for electronic solicitation of a child and traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act.
The arrest was made following an undercover operation by the Prattville Police Department, targeting child sex predators. During the operation, undercover officers posed as children under the age of 16 and chatted with possible child sex predators via electronic devices.
At the time of his arrest, Pittman was identified as an employee of Prattville High School. Administrators of the Autauga County Board of Education were promptly notified of the arrest. Pittman was then transported to Elmore County Jail where he was placed on a $90,000 bond.
The Autauga County Board of Education responded, noting that the safety of students is their top priority:
“Autauga County Schools was made aware that Brian Pittman, a PHS teacher and former coach, was arrested by local law enforcement on charges involving the solicitation of a minor. Due to the ongoing investigation, the district is limited in the details that can be shared at this time. First and foremost, student safety is a top priority for Autauga County Schools. Any actions that jeopardize that safety are dealt with swiftly and to the full extent of district policy and state law. At this time, there is no indication that this situation involves any students. The district is working in full cooperation with the Prattville Police Department and other law enforcement authorities. Mr. Pittman has been placed on administrative leave and removed from campus.
