First Class Pre-K is accepting online pre-registration applications for the 2026-2027 school year for all Autauga County and Elmore County Pre-K sites. Pre-Registration is open from January 15 to February 28 for Autauga County Schools. Pre-Registration for Elmore County Public Schools is from January 15th to March 13th.

Beginning in 2026-2027, children may be pre-registered ONLY for the elementary school within the attendance zone in which they live. Preregistration at multiple sites is not permitted. Addresses will be checked prior to the drawing.
- Parents/guardians are responsible for transporting children to and from school.
- No child will be denied participation on basis of income, sex, race, color, national origin, or disability.
- There is no registration fee or cost to attend this program.
- Enrollment is open to all children four years of age on or before 9/1/26.
For Autauga County Schools:
Acceptance into a First-Class Pre-K program is through a random drawing. The random drawing will take place on Monday, March 9 at the Chapter One Center at 131 South Washington Street in Prattville for all sites. Parents and guardians are not required to be present at the drawing; email notices of acceptance or waitlist status will be sent after the drawing date.
For Elmore County Public Schools:
Acceptance is strictly through random selection to be held virtually (via Facebook Live) and in person on Thursday, March 19 at 3 p.m. The drawing will be held at the Elmore County Board of Education, 100 H. H. Robison Drive (across from Wetumpka High School). Presence at the drawing is not required. Email notices of acceptance status will be sent in mid-April.
