On 12/17/2025, officers from the Prattville Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Christopher Hartzell in reference to a felony theft investigation. Hartzell fled the traffic stop in a 2013 Chevy Silverado. The Prattville Police Department pursed Hartzell east on Cobbs Ford Rd. and onto I-65 South. The suspect fled into Montgomery where units from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) took lead in the pursuit. ALEA units were able to get the vehicle stopped. The suspect was taken into custody.
