The Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce and community gathered at Ann’s Back in the Day Café for their official ribbon cutting. Ann addressed the crowd, “Okay, first of all I got to give God all the glory because without Him none of this would be possible.”  Although they have been open since December 1st, today was truly a special event.

Ann Peagler Ross has an extensive background in hospitality and food service.  She has worked at such prestigious locations as Capitol City Club, Wynlakes Golf and Country Club, and the Officers Club at Maxwell Air Force Base.  This is definitely apparent from the interior of the restaurant and gives an elevated “meat and three” feel. Ross has served two United States presidents Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush Sr. of which she is extremely proud.

Ross’s Chef and staff are clearly dedicated to their craft, and it shows in their presentation in the food as well as themselves.  Ross is a lifelong Prattville resident who adores her community and it is abundantly clear that she is a woman of faith with a grateful heart.

“I had to listen to God and God said to me this is your season,” said Ross.

Ann’s Back in the Day Café is located at 1534 South Memorial Drive in Prattville. They are serving Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. and are open on Sunday for brunch.
