The Elmore County Family Resource Center (ECFRC) met for a lunch and learn event, Dec. 15, 2025, to share important updates with the community, including a major announcement from T-Mobile.
T-Mobile announced ECFRC as a 2025 recipient of their Hometown Grant, a national program that supports nonprofit organizations in communities with populations of 50,000 or less by funding shovel-ready projects that enhance local spaces.
“Over 1,000 people applied for this grant this quarter, but only 25 in the nation were chosen,” said a T-Mobile representative. “Due to the amazing things these guys do every day for the community, we wanted to show our appreciation and help play a role in their continued growth.”
ECFRC received the full $50,000 grant, which will be used to build an addition to its existing facility to better serve families in need. The expansion will include a dedicated workspace for counselors and a hygiene area where individuals can shower.
“Growing can mean some pains, and right now, we are in the pain part,” said Justin Robinson, Director of Operations for ECFRC. “Our vision is to create space for our counselors and provide a place where people can come in and take a shower.”
Founded in 2007, the ECFRC supports children and families by connecting them with resources that empower them to become self-sufficient and productive members of the community.
