Millbrook, AL — The City of Millbrook is excited to welcome residents and visitors to one of its most cherished holiday traditions with the Spirit of Christmas Community Tree Lighting event on December 4, 2025, followed with its annual Festival and Parade on December 6, 2025. These events are open to the public with no admission charged.
This year’s celebration embraces the theme “Santa’s Workshop,” bringing the magic, imagination, and wonder of the North Pole to life in Millbrook. Families can look forward to festive décor, themed activities, vendors, live entertainment, holiday treats, children’s activities, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and the highly anticipated Christmas parade featuring floats inspired by Santa’s bustling workshop.
The City’s holiday events begin on Thursday, December 4th with the Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Village Green Park where the city’s beautifully decorated Christmas tree will shine as a symbol of community, tradition, and holiday joy. Snow is predicted! Beginning at 5pm, visitors will be able to grab a bite to eat from on-site food trucks, snap a photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus and enjoy the park’s holiday display and entertainment. At 6pm, the tree will be officially lit. On Saturday, December 6th, from 9am to 4pm, all can head back to the Village Green to shop at the vendor booths while enjoying live entertainment, food trucks and another opportunity to have your child’s photo taken with Santa. The Christmas Parade will follow at 2pm with vibrant floats, marching bands, and community groups spreading seasonal cheer. This year’s Grand Marshal is the Millbrook Public Library.
Danae Morgan, Director of Cultural Arts and Special Events for the City of Millbrook, shared her excitement about this year’s theme:
“‘Santa’s Workshop’ captures everything that is special about the holiday season—creativity, imagination, generosity, and the joy of coming together. We wanted a theme that truly sparks wonder for children and adults alike. This year’s Spirit of Christmas celebration will feel like stepping straight into the magic of the North Pole, and we can’t wait for the community to experience it.”
The City encourages everyone to come out and celebrate the season with neighbors, friends, and family as Millbrook continues its tradition of creating meaningful, memorable holiday experiences.
