The ASF Foundation is excited to announce registration is now open for its festive and fun pickleball tournament, Dinklebells 3, set for December 13-14, 2025, at the 17 Springs Sports Complex in Millbrook. The registration fee is $50 (through December 1) and can be found at ALAGAMES.com
“We landed on a pickleball tournament as our second off-season fundraiser based on the growth, we’ve seen in the number of people playing pickleball in the Alabama State Games,” Laura Creel Burt, ASF Foundation Executive Director and CEO said. “Going into its third year, Dinklebells has become more than just a weekend event for our team; it’s a true reflection and celebration of what the ASF Foundation is about: using sport as a vehicle to stay healthy, have fun and better connect with your community.
Dinklebells 3 is open to athletes from throughout Alabama and the southeast and will feature Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles. Local businesses in and around the River Region have also donated gift cards and prizes to be given away to medal winners and as door prizes throughout the weekend.
Pickleball’s rising popularity reflects a nationwide trend and aligns perfectly with the core values of the ASF Foundation. Combining elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis, pickleball is easy to learn, affordable to play, and accessible for athletes of all ages, abilities, and skill levels. Players can expect a festive atmosphere with holiday decorations and themes throughout. Athletes and fans alike are encouraged to join in the fun by dressing for the holiday theme, provided the attire is appropriate for playing and for the weekend’s weather.

- Festive Atmosphere: The holiday season’s merriment will be in full swing, with decorations, music, and special surprises keeping the season bright. We encourage athletes to wear their most festive and spirited holiday attire (as long as it’s competition-friendly).
- Prizes: A variety of exciting prizes are available from local businesses throughout the River Region.
- Community Impact: Proceeds from Dinklebells 3 support the ASF Foundation’s mission to promote physical fitness, education, and leadership opportunities for youth across Alabama. The ASF Foundation’s largest and most visible community-forward program is its scholarship initiative. Since the program’s inception, 660 scholarships have been awarded, totaling nearly $500,000.
