Prattville’s Way Off Broadway Theatre partners with Butterfly Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center this holiday season

From: Martha Wilkinson, Theatre Coordinator

Prattville Cultural Arts

Way Off Broadway Theatre (WOBT) is proud to announce a special holiday partnership with Butterfly Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center during the theatre’s upcoming production of Closed for the Holidays, running December 11–21, 2025.

In the spirit of giving and community, WOBT will be collecting new stuffed animals and shelf-stable snacks at each performance to benefit children served by Butterfly Bridge. These donations provide comfort, encouragement, and immediate emotional support to young victims of abuse and trauma during their most vulnerable moments.

“We are so thrilled to partner with Butterfly Bridge,” said Martha Wilkinson, Theatre Coordinator for Way Off Broadway Theatre. “Our theatre family believes deeply in supporting and uplifting our community. Theatre tells stories and this partnership is a way to help rewrite a child’s story with hope, care, and compassion.”

Butterfly Bridge CAC provides child-centered services including forensic interviews, family advocacy, and therapy to children who have experienced abuse. Their mission to protect and heal aligns beautifully with WOBT’s commitment to building a brighter, kinder community both on and off the stage.

Audiences attending Closed for the Holidays are encouraged to bring donations to the theatre lobby, where collection bins will be available throughout the run of the show.
