The Prattville Autauga Humane Society (PAHS) hosted its much-anticipated Pet Palooza at
Cooters Pond Park in Prattville on Saturday, drawing a large crowd of attendees. The event
offered a fun-filled day for pet lovers of all ages, featuring a variety of activities, games, and
opportunities to learn more about animal care and adoption.
“It was a great day for PAHS. The community really showed their support, and we greatly
appreciate it. Several dogs found homes today and that makes it all worth it,” stated Ginger
Burton from the PAHS Board of Directors.
People attending who had their pets with them had a chance to microchip their dogs for a fee of
$25 through Tuskegee University.
The pet costume contest winners included the best pet/owner lookalike, best pet costume, best
pet trick, best kisser, biggest dog, and smallest dog.
The PAHS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing animal cruelty and providing a
