Millbrook City Council unanimously approved the site development plan for Baumhower’s Victory Grille at the Marketplace at 17 Springs, Oct. 14, 2025, during their regular meeting.

Baumhower’s, known for introducing buffalo-style chicken wings to Alabama, announced in March that it would be expanding to Millbrook. With 10 locations already operating across the state, this new restaurant aims to make a big impression.

“This is a new, 8,800 square foot prototype designed from the ground up, and it’ll be the largest Baumhower’s in existence to date,” said Stuart Peters, President of Landmark Engineering and Construction. “We are anticipating a summer of 2026 completion.”

Over the past several months, developers have worked behind the scenes on plans to make the Millbrook location a flagship site. Following Peters’s presentation, Ward 3 Councilor Jimmy Harris raised concerns about traffic flow and parking, noting the plan currently shows just one entry and exit point.

“There are areas for adjoining that can have shared use access in and out, and that’s the plan, to adjoin once it’s complete,” said Peters. “As far as parking, it meets the zoning criteria, and there are going to be some instances where we have shared parking in the marketplace.”

Baumhower’s will be the first business to break ground at the Marketplace at 17 Springs, the commercial hub of the city’s state-of-the-art recreational, entertainment, and sports complex.

With the council’s approval, Landmark Engineering and Construction can move forward with the next phase of the project.

“We’re excited to see Baumhower’s Victory Grille take this next step toward construction,” said Ann Harper, Economic Development Director of Millbrook. “We look forward to welcoming this well-known Alabama restaurant brand to our community.”
