Everything Alabama celebrated the opening of its new location, Sept. 2, 2025, at 153 West Main Street in historic downtown Prattville.

The only specialty shop in the River Region, devoted exclusively to Alabama brands and makers, offers a wide range of handcrafted gifts and goods—candles, books, art, décor, jewelry, apparel, and more.

“This business is a labor of love, something I feel called to do,” said Tillie Jones, owner of Everything Alabama.

Jones spent more than 30 years in mass communication before deciding to follow her dream. The idea was sparked years ago when her son introduced her to an international student who simply wanted a Prattville T-shirt. At the time, none could be found.

“I could see there was a void in the marketplace for locally crafted products,” Jones said. “It was just an idea until I finally decided to step away from the mass communication business.”

She began humbly, splitting space with local artist Linda Lee and selling Alabama-made honey and treats to test the market.

“I started really, really small and built from there,” said Jones. “Every time I made a little more money, I would add another brand, and the business began to grow incrementally.”

As her shop expanded, Jones moved into her own space in Montgomery, but her ultimate goal was to bring her business home.

“I always wanted to bring my business home to historic downtown Prattville, where I live,” said Jones.

She first opened at 183 West Main Street, where she spent six years growing her customer base and deepening her community ties. When the shop once again outgrew its space, Jones began eyeing 153 West Main Street—a building dating back to 1900.

After more than a year of consideration, she finally secured the location and, within just one month, transformed it into her largest space yet.

“I felt like the Lord said, ‘This is your opportunity, and if you don’t take it, it’s someone else’s opportunity.’”

The new location is open now with store hours Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Celebrating 10 years in business, Everything Alabama will also be hosting a grand re-opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Parade of Pumpkins kick-off on Friday, Oct. 17, 2025!
