The Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a non-partisan meet-and-greet and forum for the City of Prattville mayoral and city council candidates, Aug. 14, 2025, at Doster Community Center.

The event aimed to give voters a closer look at the individuals seeking to serve the city, allowing them to hear directly from candidates on key issues shaping the future of Prattville.

“On behalf of the Prattville Chamber Board of Directors, we’re proud to offer this candidate forum as a service to our community, providing valuable insight for voters, chamber members, and local businesses,” said Lisa Miller, Chair of the Prattville Chamber’s Governmental Affairs Committee.

Questions for the forum were developed by an independent committee of chamber members representing a wide range of individuals and businesses from across the community. Each question was tied to one of the chamber’s strategic pillars: education, economic and workforce development, small business, and military support and partnerships. Audience participation was not permitted due to time constraints.

Districts 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 7 were represented at the forum, while District 5 had no opposition.

“It’s always best to make an informed decision with your votes, so this is a great opportunity to hear all the candidates speak,” said Bob Gibson, the Prattville Chamber’s Membership Director.

The Prattville Chamber has hosted candidate forums for more than a decade as a public service, ensuring they are conducted fairly, impartially, and without endorsing any candidate.
