From Mayor Zachary Bigley
Join us at Pine Level Community Center for our Comprehensive Plan
Community Meeting on May 20.
A Comprehensive Plan is a long-term roadmap that guides how Pine Level will grow and evolve. It includes a shared community vision, maps, development goals, and policies to shape land use, infrastructure, housing, and economic development.
Why does it matter?
This plan helps ensure that future growth supports the values, character, and priorities of Pine Level. It is a tool to protect what residents love about the town while preparing for new opportunities. It aligns community voices with public and private investment decisions.
How will it work?
The plan is built through community input and implemented over time by local leaders, developers, and residents. It connects everyday decisions—like where to build a new park or how to improve roads—to a larger vision. The process starts with community meetings
like this one, where residents help define the town’s strengths and shape its future.
Community Meeting
Pine Level is launching its Comprehensive Planning process, and this first community meeting invites all residents to help shape the town’s future, starting with what already makes it strong. Using an asset-based design approach, we will identify the people, places, and resources that define Pine Level and explore how to build on these strengths to guide growth over the next 10 to 20 years.
This meeting starts a collaborative, long-term effort to create a shared vision for Pine Level that reflects local values and leads to thoughtful, community-driven development.
What to Expect at the Pine Level Community Meeting
• Start with What’s Strong, Not What’s Wrong – We’ll begin by identifying the people, places, and traditions that make Pine Level great—then explore how to build on them.
• Map Community Assets – In a large-group setting, help us create a living map of Pine Level’s strengths—whether it’s a beloved park, a trusted neighbor, or a local business.
• Think Big in Small Groups – Work with your neighbors to imagine Pine Level 10–20 years from now. What bold ideas or practical projects could shape our future?
• Your Voice Matters – Everyone is welcome—whether you’ve lived here your whole life or just moved in. No expertise is needed, just your honest input.
• Connect and Build – We’ll look at how existing assets—like schools, churches,
businesses, and gathering places—can be linked to create stronger networks and new opportunities.
• See the Big Picture – Learn how your ideas feed directly into the town’s long-range Comprehensive Plan, a roadmap for growth, safety, and opportunity.
• Join us on Thursday, May 20th, 6:30 pm at the Pine Level Community Center.
