A new chapter in Millbrook’s growing business landscape began on Tuesday, April 22, as the Millbrook Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of Don Duncan’s All American Auto and Tire’s newest location. The event took place at 4451 Coosada Road, a site that many in the community recognize as the former home of Scott’s Auto and Tire Service.
The ceremony drew a large crowd of supporters, including local officials, business leaders, community members, and representatives from various organizations.
The event began with a warm welcome from Steve Mullis, Chairman of the Millbrook Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Mullis expressed his gratitude for the strong community showing and acknowledged a wide array of attendees, including fellow board members, Chamber members and ambassadors, city and county officials, members of Business Network International (BNI), and local residents, friends, and family, who joined the ribbon cutting to celebrate the new business.
“BNI is a networking group,” Mullis said. “We network with each other. This shows that there is a strong following and supporting one another by being here today.”

The addition of this new location is the latest milestone in a journey that began nearly 20 years ago. Since opening its first store, Don Duncan’s All American Auto and Tire has steadily expanded its reach and reputation. With the new Millbrook site, the business now operates four locations across the region, each offering trusted services ranging from tire repair to oil changes and general vehicle maintenance.
The success of the business, according to its founder, was never guaranteed—but it was built on dedication, hard work, and a deep commitment to customer service.
“It has been almost 20 years since the first Don Duncan’s All American Auto and Tire opened its first location and since that time there have been 3 more locations added,” the announcement noted.
“I want to thank everyone for being here,” said owner Don Duncan. “When we started this 19 years ago, we were just hoping we were going to eat, so this is a blessing to us. I just can’t say enough.”
Duncan recognized the trust his customers have placed in his team over the years.
“Thank you so much for all you have done for us and your continued support,” Duncan continued.
Duncan’s remarks highlighted the close relationship between the business and its customer base—many of whom have been loyal since the early days. His staff, he said, played a vital role in building that trust and delivering consistent service.

Following Duncan’s remarks, Millbrook Mayor Al Kelley extend a warm welcome on behalf of the city. Mayor Kelley emphasized the value of local businesses like Duncan’s and their role in contributing to the city’s continued growth and success.
“I want to welcome Don to this location,” Kelley said. “Don and his team have been a tremendous asset to the City of Millbrook.”
The mayor’s remarks also acknowledged the longstanding reputation of the business and the contributions it makes to both the local economy and the well-being of residents.
“It’s been a good run. I appreciate the whole crew,” Kelley continued. “If you need anything from the City, you give us a call, we are here to help.”
After the mayor’s remarks, the ribbon cutting commenced. With the snip of ceremonial scissors, the new location was officially open. There was applause as the red ribbon fell away, signifying the start of a new journey for the business in Millbrook.
This latest addition to Millbrook’s business community not only brings new jobs and services to the area but also reinforces the city’s ongoing efforts to support small business development. As the city continues to grow, leaders like Mayor Kelley and organizations like the Chamber of Commerce play a critical role in ensuring that new businesses feel welcomed and supported.
With a legacy rooted in family values, customer care, and community connection, Don Duncan’s All American Auto and Tire looks forward to many more years of service—not just as a business, but as a neighbor.
