TownePlace Suites, owned by RAM Hotels, recently opened up for business in Millbrook, but celebrated the event officially Thursday afternoon with even more announcements.
TownPlace Suites by Marriott is the second hotel for RAM in Millbrook, with Springhill Suites the first. Now, a third hotel is coming to 17 Springs soon and will be a Fairfield by Marriott.
Millbrook Mayor Al Kelley said the partnership between RAM and the city is more like a family, after many years of working together.
“I have grown a great friendship with Rinkesh and Matt,” he said. “They are part of our Millbrook family. Rinkesh and Matt are one of these people, that when they tell you something, you can bet it is going to happen. WE are so proud of our relationship. Town Place Suites is a major attraction for us. We thank you very much for having the faith and trust in our great community. We thank you for Spring Hill Suites as well.”
Kelley said that RAM is also considering a fourth location, for another possible hotel.
“This is huge. And it is just going to get bigger and better. We just left 17 Springs entertaining another guest that wants a lot at 17 Springs. It is just about sold out. We are looking at some great things that will be happening up there also.” Officials said that more major announcements regarding 17 Springs will drop soon, so stay tuned.
Matt Patel is the Vice President for RAM, and gave some information about what guests can expect from Town Place Suites.
“This is 106-room Marriott extended stay hotel. It is the first extended stay hotel in Millbrook. It is a pretty big deal. We have the Spring Hill next door, and we thought this would complement that hotel very well,” Matt Patel said. “This is my favorite brand. I happen to represent 500 other TownePlace Suite hotels on the owners’ board, for Marriott’s board. They are really built well and for the future.”
Units include two queen beds, King beds and one-bedroom suites. All rooms have kitchenettes, dishwasher, microwave and range. There are suites that have a living room, bedroom, and kitchen. Matt said if anyone in the area needs an extended place, they will be welcome in Millbrook.
There is a very nice breakfast, barbecue grills, gym facilities and pool.
He praised Millbrook officials across the board for working with RAM to make all of the hotels possible, and a great partnership that truly is like family.
RAM Hotels President Rinkesh spoke praising both Millbrook and Elmore County officials, not just for their ability for fair business, but for the foresight in creating 17 Springs, saying he is extremely impressed.
He praised the Code Enforcement team for Millbrook, City Project Manager Stuart Peters, and all involved with the projects RAM has created, as well as all future projects.
He again emphasized the impression 17 Springs has made in their business decisions, and said the partnership between the five entities who created 17 Springs is amazing and historic.
The five entities behind 17 Springs are the City of Millbrook, Elmore County Commission, Elmore County Economic Development Authority, Elmore Schools and the Montgomery Area/Grandview Family YMCA programs.
About RAM Hotels –
Our Story
Our story began in 1998 when Rinkesh, Mitesh and their parents arrived in the United States on May 18, 1998. Due to the sudden and rapid decline in India’s diamond exchange, the family business had to be closed, and they decided to stay in the United States in pursuit of a better life for their children and to earn enough money to help repay the debts incurred in the business back home.
Life with family took Rinkesh and Mitesh to a small town called Opelika located in southeast Alabama. While shadowing his uncle, Rinkesh learned how to manage hotels at the age of 16 and gained first-hand experience about hotel development and construction. After high school, Rinkesh and Mitesh attended Auburn University. Rinkesh studied engineering and Mitesh graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration.
In 2002, along with their parents, Rinkesh masterminded the family’s first business deal purchasing the Days Inn in Phenix City, Alabama and operated under the corporation’s name Ram Hotels. The family poured their heart and soul into this endeavor in just two years were able to save enough money to purchase their next hotel.
After several more deals and new development projects, in 2007 Ram Hotels was approved to develop their first Hilton brand hotel in Phenix City, AL. Today, Ram Hotels has some of the most robust and market dominating hotel brands in its portfolio and continues to add trendsetting hotels to its growing portfolio of hotels throughout Alabama and Georgia.
