Friends, family, and community members gathered at Jaguar’s Spot on Tuesday, April 15, for a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce.

“We are so excited that you are here,” said Brenda Dennis, President of the Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce. “Thank you for making Millbrook your home.”

Dennis welcomed guests and expressed her appreciation to all in attendance. Also present to celebrate the new business were Michael Gay, President of the Millbrook City Council; councilmembers Jimmy Harris and Jacquelyn Long Thomas; Steve Mullins, Chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors; and several other Chamber members.

The new takeout restaurant has been open for just a week, and according to co-owner Phyllis Price, the oxtail has already become the most popular dish. Another customer favorite is the signature Jaguar Bowl.

“You can call in your order, and we also offer a catering menu,” added co-owner Leli Keppard.

According to Phyllis, the name Jaguar’s Spot is symbolic—it represents strength.

“Jaguars are strong, and they are powerful. I’ve always been like a jaguar in my family,” she said.

The name also ties into a longtime personal dream.

“I always said, growing up, that I was going to get a Jaguar car,” Phyllis added—and now she drives not just one, but two.

Just as her dream of owning a Jaguar came true, opening Jaguar’s Spot is another dream fulfilled.

“I had to name it Jaguar’s Spot,” she said with a smile.

The restaurant is owned and operated by Phyllis, her daughter Lile, and her granddaughters Alessia, Soul Cleopatra, Antonia, and Geioia. It’s a true family affair, built on love, tradition, and a shared passion for cooking.

Jaguar’s Spot is a scratch-made kitchen where everything is prepared in-house. Many of the recipes have been passed down through generations, preserving the family’s rich culinary heritage.
