From the Elmore
County Commission
The Elmore County Commission is committed to the safety and well-being of all the citizens in Elmore County. Safe Streets for All (SS4A) is a program that provides funds to help address transportation safety needs in our communities.
Elmore County has received an SS4A grant and is preparing a Safety Action Plan to help reduce fatal and serious injuries on our County-maintained roadways. If you live, work, or travel through Elmore County, please fill out a brief and anonymous survey to assist our leaders in creating a Safety Action Plan in Elmore County. Please visit the SS4A page on our County website at https://www.elmoreco.org/safe-streets-and-roads-for-all or contact the Elmore County Public Works Department at (334) 567-1162.
In 2023, Elmore, Chambers, Autauga, and Perry Counties received an SS4A grant to prepare a Safety Action Plan. This plan aims to provide a collaborative and data-driven strategy to reduce transportation-related fatalities and serious injuries on county-maintained roadways.
