The grand opening of Sunrise and Sheridan’s new location was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony today at their new store located at 163 West Main St in downtown Prattville. The event drew a large crowd of supporters, including local officials and community members, all excited to see the business take its next step.

Cass and Whitney Sheridan, the owners of Sunrise and Sheridan, expressed their deep gratitude to everyone who attended. Whitney shared her appreciation, calling the success of the business “a God thing.” Cass emphasized how much they value the support they’ve received, saying, “Because of y’all, the store has really grown. Because of the growth, it required us to go to a bigger space, and by the grace of God, we were able to lock down a building in downtown.”

Cass also expressed excitement about being part of the downtown community, saying, “Downtown is one of our favorite places to be, and I hope we will be here for years to come.” The Sheridans are eager to contribute to the vibrancy of Prattville’s historic area.

Prattville Mayor Bill Gillespie also attended the ceremony and praised the move. “Relocating downtown makes the area so much more vibrant,” he remarked. “With local eateries, a coffee shop, and events happening downtown, having an additional place to shop helps fill the area and makes it even more inviting.”

The opening of Sunrise and Sheridan’s new location is seen as a boost to Prattville’s downtown, offering both a larger space for the store’s growing success and contributing to the continued revitalization of the area. The event marks not only a new chapter for the Sheridan family but also a significant step forward.

“From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised.” Psalm 113:3
