The Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce along with the Long Lewis of the River Region hosted the Prattville Young Professionals Tailgate for a night of networking and comradeship.
This event is geared towards young professionals in the River Region that are under 40 – ish years of age, and no chamber affiliation was needed to attend the event. However, even with the event being geared toward the younger professionals in the area, many other residents outside the age constraints attended and mingled for an evening of networking.
Members of both the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce were in attendance along with community members, local business representatives as well as small and locally owned businesses.
“As a young professional, I think networking and engaging with other young professionals is important to help build relationships with peers, foster new opportunities, and exchange ideas. By doing so, this will help grow future business leaders and entrepreneurs within our community for the business landscape of tomorrow,” Ambassador Chair for the Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce and wealth advisor at Max Credit Union, Jordan Halloran said.
Halloran and Kyle Stewart, who are a member of the local Area Chambers and a Mortgage Loan Originator at MAX Credit Union, have both spearheaded the Young Professionals Program with the Millbrook and Prattville Chambers in the River Region.
The Tailgate event at Long Lewis not only had food, cornhole and other tailgate stable games, but also door prizes provided by Long Lewis.
“This was a great event to network with other young professionals in the area while also a fun way to connect with others, have some food and engage with others in the community,” Halloran said.
Catherine Porter, former Chairman of the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce Board of directors, and current member of the executive committee, thanked everyone for coming out, thanked both Halloran and Stewart as well as Long Lewis for hosting a successful event.
