The Local Lemon held their official Grand Opening at their new store front on Saturday in Prattville. Their store is located at 702A Commerce Court in Prattville. They offer the freshest, most delicious variety of lemonades in town including sugar-free options as well. Their big day consisted of serving refreshing lemonade drinks, hosting local vendors in store, a food truck, and raffle giveaways from area businesses.
The owners of The Local Lemon are MJ and Christopher Stoudemire. They are a dynamic duo with a shared vision to build a business that brings joy and connection to Chris’ hometown. MJ, a natural people person, sought ways to spend quality time with their kids while spreading warmth in their community. The idea of a classic lemonade stand was born, allowing them to create special memories while sharing joy with neighbors.
As the lemonade stand’s popularity grew, the couple saw an opportunity to create something more meaningful. With Chris’ 20 years of Marine Corps leadership experience and MJ’s passion for connection, they formed a strong team ready to take on a new venture together.
Now, they are excited to launch their business on new levels, with a store and food truck! They have a true partnership that combines Chris’ discipline with MJ’s people-first approach. Together, they are committed to building a welcoming space that makes a positive impact. As a united front in both business and life, they are ready to make a difference in the place they love.
Their new hours of operation are Tuesday thru Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m to 6 p.m; on Saturday, from 11 a.m to 4 p.m. They will be closed on Sunday and Monday.
“We are completely overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible welcome we have received from the Prattville community and surrounding areas,” said MJ Stoudemire.
She continued, “Opening our store, ‘The Local Lemon’ has been a dream come true, and we could not have done it without the unwavering support of our customers, who have believed in us every step of the way. I also want to give a huge shoutout to our incredible girls behind the counter – these girls have shown up and shown out for us every single day, and we could not do this without them. Be sure to check out our Facebook page on Monday for a ‘Meet the Team’ post so you can get to know these amazing ladies before we open on Tuesday! I am so thankful to my husband, who has been an absolute rockstar through all of this. I could not ask for a better business partner!
“To our amazing vendors – MCD Bakery, K/C Homestead, Fountain City Food and Catering, The Rustic Candle Co, Hap•Pea Creations, and The Barefoot Boutique – your contributions made our grand opening day truly special for everyone who came out. A huge thank you as well to the 20 generous businesses who donated prizes for our raffle – you helped make the day even more exciting! A special thanks to Balloons by Broadway for the stunning balloons, delicious treats by Beans Royal Cookies and 2Cooks Catering.
“Most of all, we want to thank God for this incredible blessing. His hand has been on The Local Lemon from the very beginning, and we are so grateful for His faithfulness and provision every step of the way. We are humbled and honored to be able to serve our community in this way, and we pray that our business will be a light and a blessing to all who come through our doors. Thank you, Lord, for this dream come true – we give you all the glory!”
