The Autauga County Commission met Tuesday night at 5 p.m. for the final meeting of 2023. The Commissioners appointed Kristen Morgan from the Emergency Management Agency, or EMA, as the assistant to deputy EMA director.
The promotion for Morgan will go into effect on December 23rd of this year. The County Commission has also approved for the EMA to advertise for an EMA assistant position, which Morgan held formerly.
The approval of the last meeting’s minutes, the Amerifirst and First Community Bank of Alabama calendar for 2024 was approved by the County Commission as well as the approval for new kitchen equipment in the Autauga Metro Jail.
The County Commission also approved to move the meeting dates to January 9th and 23, 2024.
All other items on the agenda were approved Tuesday night, and the County Commission gave end of year remarks, and well wishes to the community for the holidays and 2024.
