On Saturday, May 20th, Grandview YMCA held their annual Splash Bash event to kick off the summer and celebrate the opening of their outdoor pool. Members enjoyed swimming in the pool, playing pool games, and eating ice cream. At the event, non-members could donate new swim suits or beach towels to the YMCA and their membership registration fee would be free to join that day. You could also sign your child up for summer camp and have your registration fee waived as well if you bring a new swim suit or beach towels.
Everyone loved splashing in the water to cool off from the heat. Beach balls were scattered in the pool for anyone to play with. The children also played a treasure hunt game to find quarters. The lifeguards made sure to put the coins in easy areas for the children to find. Any child that found the coins, got to keep them.
Be sure to check out Splash Bash next May if you missed today! It is also a great day to join Grandview YMCA. There is no join fee and your kids can swim and enjoy a sweet treat too.
