The Autauga Creek Improvement Committee and the City of Prattville hosted the annual Kayak Fun Run this morning. Participants could put in at Autauga Creek Downtown and a free shuttle would bring them back to their vehicles. The run ended at CR Road 4 with the take out at Rueben Road.
It was a beautiful day for it, as kayakers floated through historical sites along the creek enjoying the bamboo, waterfalls and foliage. Asthe temperatures rose, it was as simple as splashing a little water on the skin. But perhaps the family pets had the best idea, as some just took a swim.
Kayaking has become a great family outing along Autauga Creek, or many families simply enjoy a swim along the banks. And it is all FREE!
