Prattville and surrounding area residents are invited to enjoy a meaningful and memorable day at the Prattville Creative Arts Center’s annual Art with a Heart event on February 21, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This annual community gathering offers an opportunity to support the Autauga Interfaith Care Center, savor delicious soup, and take home a one-of-a-kind piece of original art.

With a donation of $15 or more, you’ll receive a delicious cup of soup from a participating local restaurant, served in a one-of-a-kind handcrafted bowl created by one of many talented artists. The event also features an exciting Soup Cook-Off, where teams and individual chefs compete with their homemade soups for the Golden Bowl, Silver Ladle, and People’s Choice Awards, plus bragging rights for 2026.

“We are so grateful to have continued support for this event,” said Cultural Arts Manager Mynecia Steele. “We have several people who come every year. Whether it’s the Soup Cook-Off, the handmade pottery, or tasting soups from local restaurants that brings them in, it’s surely the full experience and great people that keep them coming back.”

Do you have a favorite soup recipe you’re proud of? Put it to the test! Local businesses and individuals are invited to join in a friendly soup competition by calling 334-595-0850. You can call to enter your recipe during office hours, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Donations of $5 for a single recipe and $10 for a team recipe are encouraged.

This event is one of the biggest Prattauga Art Guild’s fundraisers, created to help restock the food bank’s shelves after the holidays so it can continue serving those in need.

“Our volunteers work hard to share their time and talents with the community year-round, through classes, workshops, and exhibits. This is just one more way that Prattauga Art Guild is able to give back,” shared Steele.

As an added delight, guests can browse the stunning artwork created by talented local artists, beautifully displayed throughout the Creative Arts Center. Come for the soup, stay for the art, and leave knowing you’ve helped make a difference in your community.
