“I want to take this opportunity to commend the detectives in our Criminal Investigations Unit for their outstanding work in this investigation. They had the first alleged offender identified and in custody within 24 hours of the offenses being reported to law enforcement,” said Johnson. “The second alleged offender in this case was identified within 48 hours and in custody in less than 72 hours of the offenses being committed. That’s an example of great police work on the part of determined investigators, which I’m sure the victims in these cases appreciate as much as I do.”

Johnson continued “As we approach Christmas, I want to remind our citizens to be hyper vigilant in securing your property. Please refrain from leaving valuables inside your vehicles. Should anyone observe suspicious activity, we encourage that you report it immediately to local law enforcement. And for those considering the possibility of engaging in Grinch type behavior, stealing others Christmas…not only do you need to be concerned with being on Santa’s Naughty List, you may find your name on the Elmore County Jail Roster.”
