MAX Credit Union, a trusted financial institution serving communities across the River Region, is expanding its holiday outreach efforts this year. With a strong local presence in Autauga and Elmore counties, the credit union is using its participation in area Christmas tree trails to support nonprofit partners and encourage residents to give back.
Carrie Rauch, Director of Communications and Brand Engagement, said that MAX has been participating in the Autauga Christmas Tree Trail for years, but this year, they wanted to see how they could give back a little more.
“This year, we thought, since we are going to participate with having a tree on the trail, how can we do something to support the Family Support Center further?” said Rauch. She explained that in addition to their beautifully decorated tree on the trail in Prattville, there will be a sign indicating that they are supporting the Family Support Center, and they will be giving back by donation matching.
There will be a sign next to the tree that will display a QR Code. This code will take participants to a brief survey with MAX and send them directly to The Family Support Center website to donate. This means that every donation given through the QR link provided on the giving tree, MAX will match those donations to further support the Family Support Center.
Not only is MAX Credit Union supporting the Autauga Family Support Center, but they will also be sponsoring a giving tree in the Tallassee Christmas Tree Walk this year that will help to give back the Elmore County Humane Society. In addition, Rauch says they are supporting the Heart of Alabama Food Bank through their Feeding Hope Giving Trees. These trees are placed inside the Autauga and Elmore branches.
“We aim to support nonprofits, businesses, and our members because their work strengthens communities. It’s important for us to continue backing their missions,” said Rauch.
