The Prattville High School Flag Football team hosted Oak Mountain in a Class 6A-7A Region 5 contest. Playing at Marbury High School while Stanley Jensen stadium is under construction. The Lady Lions dominated Oak Mountain throughout in a convincing 20-0 victory. The game was never in doubt, as the Lions’ defense shut down any and all Oak Mountain offensive runs and passes. London Williams had two interceptions for the Prattville defense.
Offensively, Prattville quarterback Kaytie Chandler passed for 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.
In the opening quarter, Chandler found Cadence Forrester for a deep touchdown pass.
After Williams’ first interception of the game in the 2nd quarter, Chandler connected with Avery Patterson on 4th down for her second touchdown pass of the game.
After a scoreless 3rd quarter, the Lions had a turnover on downs at the Oak Mountain 1-yard line. But once again, the Prattville defense held Oak Mountain, and the Lions got the ball back and able to put the ball in the end zone with a touchdown pass from Chandler to Laniya Page.
With the win, the Lady Lions record improves to 7-2 overall and 3-0 in the region.
The Lady Lions will travel to Helena next week for another important region game.
