Good afternoon Elmore County this is Richard Dennis superintendent of Elmore county public schools. Thank you to everyone for making the kick off of the new school year a success this week. Schools are continuing to enroll numerous students and will complete the process as quickly as possible. Please have patience as the registrars and counselors work through this process. Our district is participating in a federal program called the community eligibility provision. Our participation means all students attending Elmore county public schools in person are eligible to receive breakfast and lunch at no charge throughout the current school year. The economic household survey that all parents should complete is included in the student form package. Information received from this survey is critical and determining district and student eligibility for beneficial programs. The survey is not an application for free meals and is not required for students to receive meals at no charge. Please help to ensure the maximize funding and grant opportunities by completing the economic household survey in return to your child’s school . All information submitted is confidential. You may also complete the survey online using the myschoolapps.com. It is only necessary to complete one survey per household. The PowerSchool parent portal will open around August 23. This portal provides you updates on your students grades and attendance. School administrators will work together to ensure this site goes live simultaneously. If you have questions about the parent portal, contact your child’s teacher. Have a great afternoon and enjoy the weekend! Every student empowered every student succeeds.
