Tuesday night was a fun and colorful evening in downtown Prattville as more than 15 local artists came together to paint, sing, draw, create pottery and entertain bystanders while sharing their creative talent.
Artists on Main was sponsored by the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce, and brought residents downtown to see and enjoy many creative endeavors. Artists set up in front of shops and stores and talked with those who passed by.
Will Barrett, who serves on the Prattville Chamber Board of Directors and is the Chair of the Tourism Committee, said of the event, โThis event is awesome because it brings everybody downtown. The downtown area of Prattville is one of the greatest treasures the town can have โ a functioning, vibrant and historic downtown. When the artists come together, the creativity that is in these walkways is unbelievable.โ
The free community event featured more than 15 visual and performing artists as they showcased their talents in action on Main Street in Historic Downtown Prattville. Some of the art included painting, drawing, musical performances, basket weaving and pottery-wheel demonstrations.
