The Millbrook Community Theatre is gearing up for its production of “Bye Bye Birdie” and rehearsals are going well.

Plot summary—When the draft selects rock star Conrad Birdie, his fans are devastated but none more than struggling songwriter Albert Peterson, whose song Birdie was just about to record.  Albert’s longtime girlfriend, Rosie, pushes Albert to write a new tune called “One Last Kiss.”

The plan is to perform the song on television and give his last kiss to a fan selected at random. The scheme works, with young Ohio teenager Kim McAfee chosen to receive Conrad’s last kiss. No one, however. has counted on the jealous wrath of Kim’s boyfriend, Hugo.
