Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce Member in Focus – Country Financial Mack Chambliss

Country Financial is not necessarily a household name. There are no geckos or talking cavemen as mascots, but the company has made a positive impact on the community and its residents for the past 30 years.

“We don’t do a lot of advertising,” said agent Mack Chambliss, “but we are consistently one of the highest rated companies in customer satisfaction and financial stability.”

Chambliss is working in the McQueen Smith Rd. office, where he has been for the last two months.  Prattville has a second Country Financial Office and Chambliss is opening a third location in either Millbrook or Prattville.

Country Financial purchased Cotton States 16 years ago and Cotton States was a Prattville business for 20 years.  Country Financial is headquartered in Bloomington, IL and has been in business 95 years. The company also has financial advisors.

“It started with farm insurance and just grew from there,” Chambliss said.

The company offers home, auto, business, life, farm, and retirement insurance. The company also has financial advisors.

“We don’t give people a hard time about paying out their claims,” Chambliss said. “We have competitive rates, especially for small businesses.”

Chambliss is a member of the Millbrook Area Chambers of Commerce. He is also a member of the Prattville Millbrook Sunrise Rotary Club.

Chambliss said the company strongly encourages its employees to get involved with the community.

”We are a family-oriented company,” he said.

Chambliss’s office is currently conducting a Holiday Food Drive to benefit the Autauga Interfaith Care Center. Donations will be accepted through December 10 at the company’s office at 696 McQueen Smith North in Prattville. Donations should be non-perishable food items only.

Chambliss said the company will also be making a donation of $1,500 to a local school in honor of the work that teachers do and the sacrifices they make.

Although Chambliss has not lived in Prattville his entire life, he’s lived there long enough to call himself a local. He moved from Prattville to Dothan as a child and graduated from school in Dothan. He returned to Prattville in 2015 and has enjoyed being around family members who live here.

The 51-year-old is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a major in geography and a minor in biology. He said he enjoys outdoor recreation, going to Alabama football games and attending local events.

He encouraged everyone to attend the Sunrise-Rotary Club’s Alabama Waffle Cook-off on December 11th in the Lanark Pavilion. All proceeds will go to local charities. The event is sponsored by the Central Alabama Electric Cooperative and Central Access. For more information, contact Tanner Hicks at [email protected]
