PAHS Pet of the Week: Meet Darcie! Beautiful Girl and a Real Lady

FROM PRATTVILLE AUTAUGA HUMANE SHELTER

Darcie was picked to be our featured pet this week.

Darcie is a 3-year-old female Black Lab who must be spayed before she is adopted.  She came to PAHS as a stray found out in the county; we were shocked when her owner never came to reclaim her.  Darcie is solid black and weighs 60 pounds so she is considered to be a large dog.  This quite beautiful girl is a real lady!  Darcie is very laid back and well behaved.  She walks like a queen on her leash and is very “chill” about everything.  Darcie is good with other dogs and children.  This friendly and affectionate girl is the perfect representation of why Labs are so popular!  Darcie is the perfect dog!  Please consider making her a member of your family.

Our adoption fee is $120 for dogs and $50 for cats.  This fee covers a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.  Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.   The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville.  Our regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm.   We do close one day each month for staff training – that will be this week, on Thursday, October 28th.  Adoptions are currently by appointment only.

Thank you for helping find homes for these wonderful pets.

Sincerely,
