FROM PRATTVILLE AUTAUGA HUMANE SHELTER

Our featured pet this week is Baylee.
Baylee is an 1-year-old female Hound/Beagle mix who must be spayed before she is adopted. She came to PAHS as a stray and no owner never came looking for her. Baylee is mostly brown with white markings–a very pretty gal! She weighs 35 pounds so she is considered to be a medium sized young adult dog. Baylee is active, sweet, and friendly. She would be great with other dogs and children. Baylee needs a devoted new owner who will be patient with her. We don’t believe anyone has ever really worked with Baylee on leash training, etc. Sweet Baylee girl deserves a new start on life with a loving family.
Four of these female Beagle/Hound mixes came in together as strays from the same area. They all appear to be about the same age; we believe they may be littermates. None of these dogs have been leash trained; and it appears no one has ever really worked with them. All four are very sweet girls who just need a new start on life.
Our adoption fee is $120.00 for dogs and $50.00 for cats. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative. The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville. Our regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm. We do close one day each month for staff training— that will be this Thursday, May 27th.
We will also be closed on May 31st for Memorial Day. Adoptions are currently by appointment only.
