Prattville Police investigate Brookhaven Drive shooting

A Prattville resident is recovering in the hospital from non-life-threatening injuries after being shot inside his home late Sunday night.

According to police, the shooting happened at 10:09 p.m., Sept. 14, 2025, on the 200 block of Brookhaven Drive. Numerous rounds were fired into the home, striking one man. Several others were inside at the time but were not injured.

“If anyone has any information about a possible vehicle in that area leaving at a high rate of speed, we would appreciate a call,” said Mark Thompson, Chief of the Prattville Police Department.

Investigators are also asking residents of Brookhaven Drive to review home security footage around the time of the shooting.

“Our investigators have been on the case since 10:09 last night,” said Thompson. “This bunch is a pretty great group and is dedicated to finding the shooter.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the Prattville Police Department’s non-emergency line at 334-361-9911 or file a report at the Public Safety Building, 201 Gin Shop Hill Road.
