A Prattville man was found not guilty this morning, relating to the death of a 9-month-old child back in 2022.
Tony Harwell was originally charged with felony murder and an underlying charge of aggravated child abuse.
The Prattville Police investigated, and was told the baby had fallen from a crib. The case was eventually sent to a Grand Jury, and Harwell was indicted.
However, the court case began this week, with Tony Harwell represented by defense attorney Richard White. This morning the jury found Harwell not guilty of any charges.
We have reached out to his attorney for a comment and will update this article with any new information.
19th Judicial District Attorney C.J. Robinson told the EA News that he respects the jury’s decision even though he disagrees with that decision.
Harwell is now considered innocent of all charges relating to the death of the child.
