Veteran Education Training & Support
TALLASSEE, AL – What may not seem like a big deal to one person may mean the world to someone else.
For instance, the exhaust for a motorcycle doesn’t seem like a big deal, unless you want it to look like the exhaust from a P-51 Mustang WWII fighter. This has been a key component of the build since it began over 5 years ago. Seems simple, six ports on each muffler, what could be hard about that?
Now find a blueprint from the actual aircraft, try to match angles and key features, which will likely be unnoticed, except by the most critical eye. Add lack of welding expertise and the cost of components and it can surely trigger anxiety in a veteran.
What do veterans do though, go “over the top”, a WWI reference, and face your fears head on.
There are still many more challenges to this exhaust and bike, but we are taking them on one trench at a time. We are proud of this accomplishment.
We are also working on hand hammer tail fins to complete the build. Nothing is straight forward on this veteran build.
The Mission of Vets, of Tallassee, is simple.
They provide support for veterans that decreases suicide rates and improves mental health while enhancing their wellbeing with education and engaged training in the trade arts.
