The Tallassee Police Department is investigating an August 3, 2024, shooting that left one victim with serious injuries. Police are requesting the public’s help and are asking anyone with details or information regarding this shooting to please come forward.
Investigators say on Saturday, August 3, 2024, around 10:28 p.m., police and medics responded to the 2200 block of AL Highway 229, Tallassee, AL, in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, police located a victim who sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital for further treatment.
Investigators say the victim is currently in ICU and is receiving treatment for serious injuries. No other details regarding the victim or condition are available for release at this time.
Investigators released a video of two vehicles police identified as suspect vehicles, a black 4-door sedan, and a black SUV.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the shooting and ask anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or have any details regarding this shooting to please come forward.
