The Elmore County Technical Center will host an Open House event Monday, Aug. 5 from 1-7 p.m. The Center is located at 800 Kelly Fitzpatrick Drive in Wetumpka.
There will be a teacher break from 5-5:30 p.m.
From the website: The Elmore County Technical Center (ECTC) offers Career and Technical Educational (CTE) programs on the ECTC campus in Wetumpka for students from all four physical campus high schools – Elmore County, Holtville, Stanhope Elmore, and Wetumpka High – as well as The EDGE Virtual School.
Students can gain nationally recognized certifications and industry credentials that offer them internships and employment opportunities during and after high school. In addition to the high school CTE courses, ECTC offers a variety of technical and academic dual enrollment courses through Central Alabama Community College where students earn college credits toward their career aspirations.
ECTC offers training in the following areas:
Automotive, Aviation, Building Construction, Culinary, Cybersecurity, Diesel, Drafting and Technical Design, Educators in Training, Electrical, Hospitality and Tourism, HVAC, Information Technology, Medical Sciences, Pluming and Pipefitting, Public Safety and Law, and Welding.
